Abstract:
The adoption of biometric recognition technology for student attendance tracking in Kenyan
universities represents a significant advancement in educational management. This research
seeks to comprehensively investigate the success factors on the adoption process. Through a case
study approach involving Mount Kenya university, this study assesses the effectiveness of
biometric systems, analyses stakeholder involvement, and provides recommendations for best
practices. The findings aim to inform and guide university administrators, faculty, and
policymakers, ultimately enhancing attendance tracking and educational management in Kenyan
higher education institutions.
