Abstract:
The goal of this research study was to identify how to assess data security in private universities
wireless network: case study Thika Sub County. Three main research goals(Dang et al.,2021),
guided the investigation effectively, which was accomplished by the use of a survey approach.
During the study, the population comprised 13800 students from various selected universities
around Thika subcounty, whereby a population of 388 students was to be chosen using basic
random selection criteria. The study hypothesis will be evaluated using statistical analysis such as
chi-square and the statistical profile was examined using descriptive statistical analysis such as
frequency tables and proportions. According to the study, (Nishanth et al.,2021). a considerable
number of pupils of private universities in Thika subcounty facing a lot of challenges when using
wireless data, which has a major influence on their academic participation and performance and
as a result the general public. The study proposed that strong data security was to be applied to all
the university networks to avoid(Fang et al.,2020) unauthorized access. That public opinion was
applied to gain a better data security network in all private universities. Lastly, that data security
in a wireless network considered and be given first priority in all fields to ensure better security of
confidential work.
