Abstract:
In this study, we aimed to evaluate how blockchain technology enhances cybersecurity by
reducing vulnerabilities tied to centralized data storage and single points of failure. We
have also investigated how blockchain's immutability ensures data integrity and prevents
unauthorized alterations. Additionally, we have explored how blockchain's transparency
can reduce fraudulent activities and improve identity management and access control. Our
target population included 150 cybersecurity professionals, IT experts, and blockchain
practitioners from diverse sectors. Blockchain, with its decentralized nature and unique
features, holds promise for bolstering cybersecurity. It reduces reliance on central
authorities, ensures data integrity, and enhances transparency. Furthermore, it can improve
identity management and access control through secure digital identities and smart
contracts. Challenges such as scalability and regulatory issues need addressing, but
ongoing research aims to maximize blockchain's potential in cybersecurity enhancement
