dc.description.abstract The intention of this research is evaluating the role of data masking in improving data security in healthcare organizations, with particular attention to the case of Jamii Hospital Karatina. The research focuses on the enactment of data masking techniques, the impact of infrastructure elements, and the impact of mass storage systems on data security. The research objectives will include: to assess the degree to which the use of data masking techniques improves the security of medical data, to examine the level of infrastructure in supporting data security measures, including data masking, within healthcare organizations, to assess the different storage systems in terms of their ability to safeguard sensitive patient data from breaches. A descriptive survey will be used for the research design. The study will include interviews with key stakeholders such as hospital management, IT staff, and data security professionals to learn more about how to use and how well data masking methods work. Furthermore, a survey questionnaire will be used to evaluate healthcare professionals' insight and encounters with data security practices. A thorough overview of existing data security procedures in healthcare businesses will be provided by the study’s finding, with a particular focus on data masking. The study seeks to determine the advantages and disadvantages of data masking implementation, evaluate the influence of infrastructure components, and evaluate the influence of various data storage systems on data security. en_US
