dc.description.abstract HCI is the study of how computers and human beings interact. HCI creates a learning environment that is flexible it enables not only students but also lecturers to consider and respond to different views over time in easier ways. The study will focus on the role of Human Computer Interaction on users at Gretsa University, The purpose of this study is to find how HCI has impacted the user’s efficiency i.e. lecturers, administrators and students of Gretsa University. The underutilization of HCI in the institution has led to less exposure of users of its usability and devising easier ways of utilizing computers that acts has an enabler of solving real world problems enhancing day to day task efficiency. The research objectives is to assess the impact of HCI on higher learning, finding out the perception of students in their learning process and efficiency influence on their academics in relation to their academic staff and administrators. Data will be gathered from lecturers, administrators and students by use of interviews and questionnaires. Interviews were done to a total of 18 respondents; them being 6 students, 5 lecturers, 7 administrators. Questionnaires were then issued to 125 respondents; them being 20 lecturers, 100 students, 5 administrators. Both qualitative and quantitative research approaches will be used to collect data. Qualitative content analysis and qualitative narrative analysis will be used to analyze data collected. Proper utilization and implementation of HCI will lead to improved efficiency of users in higher learning institutions en_US
